How does a Woolworths Personal Loan work?

How it works:

  • You will need to complete an application form online or apply in store
  • To qualify for a Woolworths Personal Loan, you will need to meet a few minimum requirements* (as listed below)
  • Once the loan application has been approved, you will receive cash into your bank account within 48 hours
  • Payment by monthly debit order is compulsory. And additional payments can be made at any Woolworths store, deposited into any Absa bank branch or by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
  • You can only have one active loan account at a time

*To qualify for a Woolworths Personal Loan, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have a valid South African Identity Document
  • Be permanently employed and earn at least R2000 per month
  • Provide the latest three payslips or the last three months' bank statements
  • Have a bank account in your name

How do I know if I qualify for a Woolies Personal Loan?

To qualify for a Woolworths Personal Loan, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

Can I make additional payments?

Certainly, additional payments can be made through:

  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
    You can set up Woolworths as a payment beneficiary in three easy steps:
    1. Navigate to "pre-defined", "3rd party" or "listed beneficiaries" in your online banking account.
    2. Type in "Woolworths" and select "Woolworths Financial Services"
    3. Add the amount to be paid and include your reference number (your 16-digit loan account number. It begins with 600785.)
     
  • In store cash or card payments at any till point 
    Cheques and gift cards cannot be accepted as payment.
     
  • Cash deposit at any ABSA branch or ATM:
    Bank: Absa
    Account Holder: WFS PL Direct Deposits
    Branch Code: 632005
    Account Number: 4072263741
