Chakalaka braai pie

Ingredients

  • 500 g Woolworths all butter puff pastry
  • 1 kg Drakensberg boerewors
  • 6 tbsp Woolworths hot chakalaka
  • 200 g mozzarella, grated

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180C. On a greased baking tray: Add one sheet of the puff pastry before adding the chakalaka and the Boerewors sprinkle over the grated cheese before covering and sealing with the second sheet of pastry. 
  2. Seal the ends by pressing them down with a fork. Place the pie in the oven to bake for 30 – 35 minutes or until the pastry is golden and puffed up.
  3. Place the butternut in the oven and prepare as per the instructions. 
  4. Serve the pie with the filled butternut and the crunch salad
