Baked mielie rice tart

Ingredients

  • 2 fresh chillies, chopped
  • a sprinkle paprika
  • Woolworths tomato and basil pasta sauce
  • 150 g Grated gouda
  • 2 x 250 g Diced Wood Smoked Bacon, cooked
  • 375 g maize meal

Cooking Instructions

  1. Prepare 375 g mielie rice according to package instructions.
  2. Layer in an ovenproof dish, alternating with Woolworths tomato-and basil pasta sauce, 2 x 250 g packets cooked diced woodsmoked bacon, a sprinkle of paprika and seasoning to taste.
  3. Top with any remaining bacon, 150 g grated Gouda and fresh chopped chillies. Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.
