How we reinvented our yoghurt

When we set out to develop the best eating yoghurts in the world, we asked you what your ideal yoghurt would be. The answer: a thick, creamy and mild yoghurt with a less sweet eating experience.  We travelled the world, looked at global yoghurt trends and found great inspiration for inventive new flavours. To find the perfect balance and recipe, we started from scratch to give you the perfect blend of taste, texture and a delicious eating experience. Here's how we reinvented our yoghurt:

REDUCED SUGAR

We started by ensuring our yoghurt was mild by selecting the correct cultures and gluten free thickener. We removed the sugar from the white base of the yoghurt and then increased the fruit content. The result: an enhanced fruit flavour that's not overpowered by sweetness.

MORE FRUIT

As well as changing the way we prepare our fruit, we've taken extra care to ensure our fruit is conserved in its natural form so you enjoy every spoonful. The result: firmer fruit with a more intense flavour. 

EXCLUSIVE CULTURES

Bifidobacterium culture is a lactic acid bacteria which contributes to a balanced digestive system when consumed as a regular part of a balanced diet. Bifidobacterium (HN019) was previously known as HOWARU™ and is exclusive to Woolworths.

NO ADDED PRESERVATIVES

We don't add preservatives to keep our yoghurts fresh and pure. To make sure our yoghurt lasts and our cultures are alive, we achieve our shelf life through strict manufacturing conditions and a proper cold chain until our yoghurts reach the shelves in our stores. That's the Woolies difference you'd expect.
