Souper stars
There’s nothing quite like a bowl of warm soup on a cold winter night (especially after a long day). If you’re not interested in nursing the same pot of soup all week long, then buy a few bags of Woolies readymade soup for your fridge and indulge in a different flavour each night. And, with a few helpful additions, you can give your pre-made soup a tasty update.
Try out these variations of your favourite Woolies soup:
Tomato soup
Add a poached egg, a handful of basil and grated Parmesan for a more substantial meal.
Chicken soup
Bulk it up with rinsed, canned chickpeas, thyme and crumbled feta.
Butternut soup
Make it heartier by dropping in sliced pre-cooked sausage and crumbling over crisp fried sage. Or, add coconut milk and pre-cooked white fish.
Vegetable soup
Throw in a handful of chopped leafy greens for bright colour and fresh flavour. Leftover grains like quinoa add bulk and texture.
Need a break from your regular bowl of soup?
