How to upgrade your oat bowl

Admit it, the thought of a bowl of oats sounds fine, but it doesn’t exactly hit the lights out, right? We’re changing all that with a range of alternative milks and super sexy toppings.

For the basic oats:

Place 90 g rolled oats in a saucepan and just cover with water. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, then add Woolworths Ayrshire Full Cream Lactose Free Milk and simmer to absorb. When tender, remove from the heat.

Strawberry coconut bowl

To a portion of plain oats, add (to taste) a scoop of Woolworths Strawberry Flavoured Cultured Coconut, toasted almond flakes, and sticky strawberries. To make the latter, add 200 g of strawberries or berries of your choice to a warm pan with a squeeze of lemon juice or a little water and a sprinkle of sugar, then simmer until sticky.

Cinnamon maple crunch

To a portion of plain oats, add (to taste) a scoop of Woolworths Ayrshire Low Fat Lactose Free Yoghurt, and sprinkle with Woolworths Caramelised Cinnamon Seed Sprinkle. Sprinkle some ground cinnamon into maple syrup, stir and drizzle over the oats.

Espresso and sesame oats

To a portion of plain oats, add (to taste) slices of banana rolled in sesame seeds, drizzle with freshly brewed espresso and stir in the alternative milk of your choice.
