Bite into these red velvet lamingtons

Introducing: red velvet lamingtons. (True story.) Not only are they super pretty; they’re ridiculously easy to make – thanks to our gluten free vanilla cake mix. (Oh hello hi yes – they’re gluten free as well!)

Step 1: Pour

Add gluten free vanilla cake mix into a bowl.

Step 2: Whisk

Add 100 ml sunflower oil, 250 ml milk and 2 large eggs to a bowl, and whisk.

Add to the cake mix.

Step 3: Stir

Add 1 tablespoon cocoa powder and 2 teaspoons red food colouring to the batter, and stir well.

Step 4: Fill

Add the batter to a lined loaf tin or square cake tin.

Step 5: Bake

Bake at 180°C, for 25–30 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool.

Step 6: Cut

Cut the cake into squares.

Step 7: Dip

Dip the cake squares into warm strawberry jam.

Step 8: Roll

Roll the cake in desiccated coconut.

Step 9:

Eat (because, yum!).
